Alison and James met each other when they started working in the same office block in 2010. Their romance began shortly after, and they have been together ever since! While on holiday in Spain last year the couple got engaged and planned to get married in the spring of 2022. Alison wanted a traditional wedding surrounded by her friends and family, with the ceremony taking place in a church and the reception in a local venue room. For the catering, Hog Roast Scarborough was hired to provide formal catering for the reception, with enough for 80 guests to enjoy. After looking through our menus, it was decided that our formal wedding package was the ideal choice and would be a great addition to the day!
In preparation for the reception, Hog Roast Scarborough planned to serve a three-course meal for the guests. The menu will begin with a starter served tableside, consisting of a homemade soup of the day and fresh bread rolls. This is a tasty and warming starter that always goes down a treat!
The main course will be a Hog Roast Scarborough speciality, with a slow-roasted hog and all of the trimmings. This includes sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as chips and seasonal vegetables.
To finish the menu, the guests will enjoy the wedding cake provided by the couple, along with some delicious Hog Roast Scarborough desserts. This is a wonderful way to end the menu and prepare the guests for the rest of the day!
