“Remember, remember, the 5th of November!” That famous rhyme reminds all of us that Guy Fawkes Night, a beloved tradition dating back over 400 years, is just around the corner. This year, Hog Roast Heslington is thrilled to announce that we’ve been hired by a luxury hotel here in East Yorkshire to serve our Classic Hog Roast Menu at an event they’re hosting in honour of this historic occasion.
The event organiser, Ruth, has put together a fantastic evening for ticket holders, promising an unforgettable experience. Guests can look forward to live music entertainment, chocolate-topped strawberries and marshmallows to satisfy their sweet tooth, and a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the night sky.
As for the culinary delights, Hog Roast Heslington is all set to keep everyone warm and satisfied from the inside out. We’ll be serving our trademark hog roast sandwiches, a mouthwatering treat that combines tradition with a modern twist. These delectable sandwiches feature gluten-free rolls or wraps generously filled with succulent pulled pork, savoury sage and onion stuffing, crunchy crackling, and our homemade applesauce. It’s a flavour explosion that’s sure to leave the guests’ taste buds dancing!
To complement the hog roast sandwiches, we’re offering a side dish extravaganza. Guests can enjoy a portion of mixed sweet potato and regular fries, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Our fresh salad and coleslaw options will add a refreshing touch to the meal, making it a well-rounded feast.
For those with plant-based preferences, our grilled vegetable and optional halloumi kebabs served with tzatziki dip and flatbreads, will provide a flavourful meat-free alternative.
