Wedding dining is a chance to pull out at all the stops. It is one of our favourite types of events to cater to here at Hog Roast Loftus since it requires such a high level of quality and demands to be that extra bit more special. We love a challenge at Hog Roast Loftus, and wedding dining certainly allows us to live up to that!
Our recent Mr and Mrs to be certainly found that to be the case as long time Hog Roast Loftus customers, Jerry and Sandra Baven, called us up to bring our renowned catering to their special day this summer. Together for 7 years, Jerry and Sandra had been putting off their wedding for quite some time but finally found the moment to celebrate their lives together, and having waited so long they certainly met the occasion with immense style – helped along by Hog Roast Loftus’ famous catering of course!
Our hog roast has been a favourite of Jerry’s ever since he tried it at a work event 3 years ago when we provided catering to a staff lunch. Since then he has vowed to include us at his wedding, so when we got the call last year it felt like a loop finally closing! So of course he wanted our exceptional roast to be the main event for the dinner time experience, so the couple opted for our classic wedding menu which provides a 3-course dinner service in their wedding hotel’s magnificent grand ballroom.
In here guests enjoyed a brilliant traditional 3 course meal. We started with a lentil soup before the main course of a choice of our hog roast, roasted lamb, or BBQ pulled jackfruit was served buffet style with a handmade coleslaw, heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, seasonal leaves, and roasted new potatoes or dauphinoise potatoes along with selection of gluten-free wraps and bread rolls.
Dessert was a choice of sticky toffee pudding or cheesecake, again served by the service team, and for any who still had room to spare after this gargantuan feast, or after they had danced a lot of it off, there was of course the magnificent 3 tiered wedding cake served with berries and a summer coulis!
It was a magnificent day for all and Hog Roast Loftus wishes the best for our new couple!
