Earlier this year, Hog Roast Huggate was hired to cater for a milestone birthday party taking place this summer. To celebrate Margo’s 40th birthday, her husband organised a birthday meal to take place at a beautiful function room near their hometown. The party was planned around all of Margo’s favourite things and was set to include a delicious three-course meal starting with a charcuterie-style starter, an elegant dress code, and a wonderful instrumental band. Our Alfresco menu is sure to go down a treat at this event, with three delicious courses of incredible dishes.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Huggate team is planning on starting the meal with our delicious alfresco sharing platters. This course includes a selection of gourmet meats and cheeses, salad options, and fresh bread, all served on elegant platters for the guests to enjoy. As a starter, this works very well as it allows the guests to enjoy as much as they want of a variety of different tastes and textures.
The main course will be a classic slow-roasted hog, which is Hog Roast Huggate’s speciality. The expertly roasted pork will be accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as roasted baby potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Altogether, this is a warming and filling course with more than enough for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, the guests can choose from sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte for dessert. The dishes will be served alongside a hot drinks service, which is the perfect way to end the meal.
