Our Hog Roast Pocklington Alfresco starts off with its Italian theme – rustic-style platters with generous amounts of fine antipasti, served to seated guests who can help themselves to as much or as little as they like. You get to feast on prosciutto di Parma, salami, mozzarella, Gorgonzola and Parmagiano, along with artisan breads of focaccia, ciabatta and breadsticks, as well as balsamic vinegar and extra-virgin olive oil for dipping.
Once devoured with relish, you can then queue up for a buffet-style hog roast, featuring a whole roasted free-range pig carved into piles of meat and crackling, served together with our homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce and freshly-baked rolls and wraps, as well as our gourmet zesty coleslaw, a tomato and mozzarella salad, a selection of seasonal leaves and your choice of a potato dish – either buttered new potatoes tossed in chives or roasted new potatoes with rosemary and garlic. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert, though! When you book with us, you decide on the two we’ll serve, from profiteroles, chocolate torte, cheesecake, tarte au citron, cheesecake and summer pudding, and they’re both served with cream.
